Pioneers of award-winning technologies for water, wastewater treatment and environmental protection since 1945.

Nute Engineering was established in 1945 by founder J. Warren Nute. He moved the company from 4th Street in San Rafael into the historical building where it currently resides today.  The building was formerly the residence of the prominent Cheda family of San Rafael, and was moved from 4th Street at A Street, San Rafael to its current location at 907 Mission Avenue, San Rafael, California.  This classic Victorian home was converted to office space and was owned and operated by J. Warren Nute. The building and company was passed down to his son, W. Edward Nute, who was the lead engineer and President of Nute Engineering until 2009. Current President, Mark T. Wilson, started working at Nute Engineering in 1985 and has served in the role of President of Nute Engineering since 2009.  Nute engineering is now an engineer owned company with 3 lead civil engineer owners: Mark T. Wilson, David Stier and Pippin Cavagnaro. Nute Engineering has served the North Bay from this location for over 80 years.
